About Kingsclere PAYC

Kingsclere Performing Arts and Youth Centre CIC

What is The Kingsclere PAYC?

The KPAYC is the Community Interest Company (CIC) that becomes the landlord of 24 Swan Street from

1st February 2025.

When 24 Swan Street was listed for sale by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council back in early September 2021, under the threat of losing it to private developers, the long term tenants and community representatives took action and formed The Kingsclere Performing Arts and Youth Centre CIC (The PAYC).

The PAYC is the Community Interest Company (CIC) established to take over, maintain, manage and improve 24 Swan Street for the long-term tenants and for the foreseeable future of the building as an asset of community value.

The PAYC will take over as the community landlord organisation and plans to fulfil the potential of 24 Swan Street, by increasing opportunities for charities, local businesses and organisations with a strong focus on sustainability, social inclusion and well-being of young people, and indeed the wider community of Kingsclere.
